NYT Souvenir of Sentimental Journeys

I am a sentimental guy. All things about my childhood and other happy times I hold dear. It was with a particular interest that I read this article in today's New York Times about a gentlemen from New York who kept his parents' Cadillac all these years after enjoying two very notable trips with it.
Here is a small piece from the beginning of this article..............

Souvenir of Sentimental Journeys
By RICHARD S. CHANG
ROBERT LA ROCCA remembers the summer of 1965, when his father bought a silver Cadillac Coupe de Ville convertible, as the start of a magical time in his life.
Mr. La Rocca was 15, and his family lived in a beautiful house in the Riverdale section of the Bronx, on the banks of the Hudson River. His father, Vito, an Italian immigrant, was a prominent ophthalmologist and a good son who visited his mother and other relatives in Italy nearly every year.
Vito La Rocca enjoyed driving and often brought the family car along on the trips abroad. In 1966, it happened to be the Cadillac."
